Dear all, I have a problem with finding a specific color of veneered MDF. My interior designers have designed the whole furniture for my home. And for the table in front of the sofa (pictures below in the links) they have chosen a very pale colored tabletop. My furniture makers suggested me oak or ash veneered MDFs, but both are too colorful, to yellow, and in my opinion will not suit with the design. How can I find something very similar to what is designed in the picture?

The right way to do this is go select your veneer flitches personally. It sounds like you are having something custom-made and if so, your cabinet maker can accompany you there and go through the veneer stacks with you.

It looks like it could also be a bleached or white washed wood. You might ask your designer what they had in mind for it. I have an Ash blanket box at the end of my bed that is unstained and it is very light, but not white. I don't know of any wood that is naturally that color. You might be looking for something that doesn't exist in nature and has to be created with the finishing. Also, most natural wood yellows or darkens with age, so even if you find it, it may or may not stay that color.
