Hello! New user here (20-something buying my first real furniture item trying to make wise furniture decisions
My mother found a couch that is Norwalk brand, the perfect size and color and half off because it is a floor model. It is a electric double recliner (again, perfect!).
The sales lady says this brand is a mid to high end and uses the brand for her family. She really likes the brand. I tried to search the forum but didn't find any info.
What do you guys think? Would you spend $1700? Will this couch last for a while? Overall is Norwalk a good quality brand? Why or why not?
Thanks in advance for all your help!
There are too many brands to have familiarity with them all - and unless one knows the construction details its not possible to evaluate. If this is a dual recliner (power) sofa for $ 1,700, I can guarantee you its not very well made based on price alone. A piece like that - for that price point - has to be made cheaply. Good ones are 2 to 3 times that price.

Thanks so much for your reply! It's actually a $3600 couch but is about half off because it's a floor model. Thanks so much for your feedback! It is really helpful!
I have a Norwalk couch that I've had for the past 3 years or so. It's held up quite well for my wife and 2 year old son. I paid about $2500. I had some cheap stuff prior, so I wouldn't be able to tell you in comparison to the _really expensive_ stuff.
