I am new at posting questions, however I have followed the information in these forums faithfully. I am looking for a small sofa for a study and discovered this Kittinger sofa for sale in a local classified listing. The fabric is listed as orange velvet and it is listed as excellent condition. Other than that, there is no information provided. Can you tell me what you would expect (or guess) a fair price to be. The current starting asking price is $500.00.
That's definitely worth $ 500 in my book, provided its as advertised. I'd even consider $ 500 if the cover needed replacing. Its a Kittinger - its built right. Good luck!

I'll second Duane on this one. At $1000 it would be a great deal.
Thank you both so much for your advice and encouragement. I actually did buy the sofa today for $300.00. It was as advertised and in very good condition as it was used primarily in the lobby of local corporate offices before it was auctioned last year. The fabric is stained slightly in one area as if something had spilled on it....I plan to use it in a small study in front of the fireplace, but will probably have it recovered. I love the personal history and charm of this sofa as well as the quality...it is surprisingly comfortable too.
I love it. You got a great deal.
