Default Construction and keeping the drywall dust out

Kind of a strange question but I want to get it in just in case the forum freezes up!!

We will be having some home renovation work done...dry wall work and some wood will be getting cut...god knows how many people walking thru the house since the construction is on the second floor.

Any tips for keeping the furniture from getting a layer of dust on it...is it ok to leave it wrapped up in furniture blankets for a few weeks until they are done with the dirtiest bits?

I didn't know if it would trap humidity in there or something.

    Cheers!

Get plastic sleeves, furniture pads will get ruined.
