Thread: Solid wood bed w/ angled headboard?

Default Solid wood bed w/ angled headboard?

Hello! I am not sure if this is the correct room for this post, so please advise me if it isn't.

We just moved and are looking for a new bed. We'd love something that we can keep for life, is solid wood, and also very sturdy. Ideally it would also be relatively modern and have an angled headboard since we like to read in bed. I've found a few options that look good at Vermont Wood Studios but haven't been able to find any others out there, so before I purchase, figured I'd ask here to see if any of the experts had ideas for places or brands to investigate.

We live in the SF Bay Area in case it helps with local options, but we're also fine ordering and shipping. Thanks in advance!

I've never seen a bed with an angled headboard, so my curiosity took me to the website and this appears to be it?

I don't know of anyone else doing this (mostly because it makes the bed stand off the wall by a few inches I would guess). If that's the design you like, they are probably your best bet. Price is reasonable, and you just want to make sure the corners are solidly joined, photos I saw didn't show how they do it.

Most people today and buying upholstered headboards which are pretty comfortable, but that's a different product.

A lot of sleigh beds will have a bit of an angle back like that, but I have found you can create pretty much the same effect with pillows if you want to sit up and read.
