I so loved my Schnadig sofa set. It was huge and very comfy (I loved the scrolled wooden arms, the deep seat, and the high sides). I could sleep well on it (by accident, of course). But after 20+ years and a move cross country, we parted ways.
If anyone knows of a high quality line that produces something similar, I am all ears.
Thanks
Techie
I did like this one by HM, but wasn't thrilled with the color choices.
This one seems doable (and is a more similar size to the Schnadig), and there is one fabric choice that I don't mind (with the proper throws).
I've never had a button tufted sofa. Are they not as 'squishy' as pillow backs? And is there a design difference, designing for leather but cladding in fabric? Does it affect comfort?
Inquiring minds...

Duane will I am sure comment further, but there is no limit to color choices in different sofa's by H&M. Any sofa is available in any leather or fabric or color as any other. Some might only be available in lower prices "programs" but any leather or fabric can be used as long as you don't mind going outside the special reduced price program combinations.
Yes, tufted will be firmer than cushions. I have two H&M sofas, one that is regular couch cushions and one that is tufted back and seat. Both are very comfortable, with the tufted chesterfield you more sit 'on' than sit 'in' like a regular couch.
Like Sue said, you can get any sofa in any of their fabrics and leathers, you used to even be able to get other fabrics from some of their sister brands but I am not sure if they still do that. I don't think a tufted fabric would look right though.
H&M does make sofas that are similar in style to your original post. Take a look at the Westbury, Natalie, and Scandic on their site. Not quite the same, but similar taller flaired arms.
