New in the store. Normally I don't stock these because they are too expensive, but they were offering a Market Special on them and I couldn't pass up the deal. An impressive piece.

Duane im still looking at the southwood end table-26-135 but debating the wood color, Council color like this would be perfect.... they do make that same table on council website call bonima I think but not sure on the finish color???can you pm me with what these sideboards run.
Southwood is definitely not Councill. They have no finishes that look even close to this.
I have this one unit only in the store at $ 4,799, but they are normally about $ 2K more.

I will figure it out, I have a Porsche taste now for fine leather and furniture with a lexus budget... Darn I think I need a recliner...
My wife wanted a sideboard and we found one in Raleigh at a high-end consignment store at a recent family visit. it is very similar to the one listed above.
The one we found is for $1500 and we are told it is around 20 years old. I did some detective work and so it looks like it is one of their first productions. I also learned that councill went bankrupt, got puchased and started manufacturing again. Any ideas how the quality was with the earlier pieces? I could not find any detailed information in this regard. if the quality is comparable (or maybe even better?), this looks like a fair deal as the piece is in very good shape.
$ 1,500 is a good price IF the piece is in good shape, Councill used to be known as Council Craftsmen, and they haven't changes much over the years.
