That might be "Soft" Black but to me it looks like you could sell that in about 10 seconds with a couple of 20" scarlet Ohio State pillows on it.
I really like the way this sofa looks.... even without the OSU pillows! We are in the market for a couple of new leather sofas and I want something a little more modern than our current big rolled arm ones. Tired of the lodge look. What I'm wondering is if the angle of the back cushions would have you sitting in an odd position. Do you still have that sofa in stock? I'd be interested in what the angle is so that I could compare it with what we have now.
Sorry, I don't have that piece in stock. On any of this class of sofa where the back cushions are not sewn on, you can alter the pitch angle +/- 5 degrees or so by where you tag the back cushion onto the Velcro. So that's about 10 degrees of pitch you can adjust to get it where it suits you.

Thank you Duane. We are really undecided about what to get. We currently have 2 BY sofas, got them over 16 years ago. They have held up well thru 4 kids and multiple dogs. They have really big, rolled arms and I DO NOT want to go that route again. I'm really drawn to the simpler, cleaner lines. Right now, we are deciding between the 776 (Cooper) and the discontinued 678 (Crosby), which they tell us we can still get. We are leaning towards a navy leather, 9055-48. What say you BY gurus? Any thoughts about it.... 776 or 678? And what do you think about 9055-48? Good leather?
I have older B-Y in my home too, when we were young and getting started we could not afford Hancock and Moore, so our early leather is B-Y and we still have it all, every single piece. My kids are now 24 and 22, and when they get their first homes it likely will go to them if they want it.
9055 is my favorite B-Y leather in the entire lineup. It has everything you want, pure aniline hide, terrific hand, drapes well when made up, excellent texture. Can't go wrong with that. As to the style, pick what you like best...

OK, so 9055 will be my leather. Just need to decide between the 776 and the 678. Duane, you had the 776 in your store, have you had the 678? I'd be interested in a man's opinion of which sits better. (Do you furniture folks usually refer to styles by # or name? Do you call it a Cooper or a 776?) Thank you so much for your input, it's been so helpful. I have spent a great deal of time reading these posts and I feel like I'm better able to make a leather decision. I picked the 9055 and it's your favorite.... impressive! Too bad I can't afford Hancock and Moore!
Sorry, the 678 is gone and my memory banks do not hold discontinued items in them. So I am of no help there.
We ALWAYS use model numbers as they are definitive. There can be 7 or 8 variants of a model that have the same name so with specific model numbers we are always on the same page.
No disappointments with the 9055 series leather....
