Thread: Grant Recliner 7004 - Tilton Lager

Just had both pieces arrive. Hadn't seen too many of the Grant recliners posted so hopefully this helps others.

Ordered end of March '22, arrived early December '22. Tilton Lager, Tuscan Nail Trim.

Not glossy at all (which I prefer), but bad lighting... gives you an idea. I was a little nervous on the Tilton leather, but trusted drcollie's recommendation. It doesn't have a dramatic pull up effect, but really does "feel" like a grade or two above. Very happy with the leather.

This is a beautiful chair!! Absolutely love the leather choice and the wood work on the feet is so elegant!!

I was looking at this chair also and agree that it is a tough one to find pictures of anywhere online including the forum!!

Have you sat in the H&M Authors chair? just curious how this compares to it

Only a few recliners with tufted backs...maybe there is a reason for that...the beauty of the tufting though...enjoy!!!

The Author chair sits totally different than the Grant recliner, even though they look remarkably similar. What I notice Is the Author chair is wider and curve is more “open”, the result being people with my build (wide shoulders), have more room to shift around. The Grant is a bit tighter in the sit, so my shoulders compress in the pocket. For slimmer people, they may not notice the difference.

We sell about ten Author Chair and ottoman combos to every Grant recliner, but then again we have never put a Grant on the display floor and always try to have the Author Chair/Ottoman to try out.

I haven't sat in the Author chair. They look similar, but like drcollie said the sit may be different. I needed recliners due to space constraints/coffee table (whenever the other furniture eventually arrives).

Thanks for the picture looking down on the seat. That fits with Duane's comments about the Author's chair being more wide open. I totally understand the space issue...ottomans can easily clog your walkways. Duane gave us good advice on that or else we would have gotten ourselves into a bad situation in our living room.
