I have a dining set (table and 10 chairs) I acquired in 2011. At the time, the seller mentioned that it was about 35 years old. Attached please find some pictures.
The table top seems to be mahogany with a varnish coat on it. The table is 11' tall (including 2 2' leaves). It has 10 chairs (two with arms).
I am thinking of reupholstering the chairs. Before I spend the money on that, I want to know whether the set is worth spending money on.
Could you help me identify the maker of the table/chairs? The seller said that the design is Chinese Chippendale. Any information on the table would be much appreciated.
Please let me know if you need any more pictures.

The table looks decent, its hand-carved on the detail work as best I can tell. I can't tell you if the chairs are well made or not, but you can buy slipcovers for a chair like that at a very reasonable price. I'd probably go the slipcover vs full-on reupholstery.
